Even after we become born again, life will present many challenges, as we well know, and often those things can break our hearts. But with God there is always Hope. Here is our encouraging verse for this week, from the Book of Revelation, chapter 21 verse 4:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev 21:4 NIV
It may sound strange but I love the image of heaven being “the Land of No Mores.” Evil will cease to exist. Difficulties will be a thing of the past. Pride will be destroyed and only love and unity will exist. Everyone in Heaven will be at peace and live in harmony with one another. Imagine. No, seriously, imagine it. Close your eyes for a moment and take it in. No more crying over the loss of a loved one. No more suffering from one illness or another. No more making horrible mistakes that cause pain to everyone involved. No more children dying from cancer, no more broken marriages, no more foreclosures on homes because we cannot make ends meet, no more people talking over each other while no one is listening. No more…the truth is, by God’s Grace, we can taste that kind of glory here already, if…well, let’s delve into it this week.
