Read your Bible…let’s break it down a bit more, today Old Testament
Old Testament: God the Father pouring down His Love on creation, revealing Himself to humans by raising a nation that is supposed to introduce the invisible God in visible ways to the rest of the world. God gives this people, the Israelites, holy commandments, statutes and ordinances that, if they would follow them, would make them righteous too. But there is only one Way to be able to follow them, that is by remaining in union, spirit, soul and body, with the One Who gave them the rules. In other words, if we do not choose to abide in God, we cannot follow His Law. As we still do today, the Israelites turned away from God, towards self and this world, and could not become righteous. They ended up in exile…do we feel that way?
Lesson: Old Testament is God pouring down His Love to a stubborn, undeserving and unreceptive people. May we learn from them and not imitate the fallen human nature.
