Our Reason to Have Peace

Besides the fact that God says, “I love you,” and promises, “I will never leave you nor for sake you,” this one verse has been the most powerful thing in my life, and the peace it has given me is indescribable. What is that verse? Romans 8:28! Listen to this wonderful Truth: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (NTL)

As we make this verse our belief, we see things through God’s eyes, not just our limited viewpoint, as we said two weeks ago. Instead of seeing life by one individual event alone, this widens our understanding, and we start looking at the bigger picture. We begin to see patterns, we see God’s hand in our lives, we start to connect with Him more and more, and actually participate in His Plan instead of trying to fight it. Working with God, together as ONE, gives us hindsight and fills us with that peace that surpasses understanding.

Again you can check out my articles for stuff to do to have more relaxation in your life, but my Friends, this is where real power comes from. It’s our spirit, which is connected to God. Then He transforms our soul as we capture our thoughts, making sure they line up with God’s truth. This is the peace we crave. It’s not based on our ever-changing situations, and it’s not based on what we do or do not do. It is secure because it has its firm foundation on the God whose Love will never change. Amen and hallelujah!
