Purpose of Friends

I said a couple of weeks ago that the whole point to life is to love and be loved. But because we are all born into this world selfish and prideful, God uses relationships to refine, then define us. All types of relationships are meant to make our lives more fulfilling, not to cause unneeded conflicts. He is a Good, Good Father Who would never allow things to happen that will ultimately destroy His children. Of course, this means you have to be His child! If you never have, won’t you settle this question once and for all today? Here are the ABCD’s of Salvation:

A = Accept. Accept that you are a sinner, doomed to an eternity apart from God and everything that is good. Hell is real, my Friends. Take your worst day here on earth and multiply that by infinity… only darkness and pain and suffering and loneliness and…fill in the blank…with no relief. We need a Savior!

B = Believe. Believe that God loves you and has made The Way for you to be forgiven, redeemed, reconcile and restored. Trust that Jesus has already paid the price for your sin and surrender your life to Him as your Savior and Lord.

C = Confess. Confess this Faith to God and receive the Holy Spirit into your heart. Pray:

Father, I have tried to live my life on my own and it is not working. I cannot find that peace and joy I truly crave. I realize this is because I am a sinner in desperate need of a Savior, and I believe You so love me that You sent Your only begotten Son to die in my place. Because of your selfless sacrifice, Jesus, my sin has been forgiven. I ask for the Holy Spirit to come into my heart, right now and make me new. Thank You Father for Your Love. Thank You Jesus for Your Life. Thank You Holy Spirit for Eternal Life.

D = Deliverance. If you have prayed this with a sincere and submissive heart towards our Creator, then your are a New Creation in Christ, now and forevermore. Begin to grow and reflect God’s Love and Goodness, more and more. And now begin to fulfill the point to life: to love God with all you’ve got, and love others, as you love yourself.

I pray you have gone through these steps and that you are a child of God. Now let’s learn to use every relationship to fulfill our lives, the lives of others and to glorify God.
