Say it by heart with me today, and let it inspire you!
“You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1Jn 4:4 BSB
Hi Friends, Diane here. God IS greater than the one who is in this world. And because of that truth, we can be sure that everything that happens- the good, the bad and the ugly- are in God’s total control. So why would a loving God allow the devil to cause problems in this world? Well let me ask you this, would we grow to be like Jesus Who overcame everything, even eternal death itself, if we were not challenged to do so? God is so much more concerned with our character than our comfort, my Friends. I will say it again, this is “University Earth” where we learn to be who we will be forevermore. If we flunk out of this university, then we will be dead forevermore. But if we have passed the major test, then we will Live forevermore. What’s this major test, you ask? Well, I am glad you did! There is only one question in this vital exam and it is: Who do you say Jesus is? (Mt 16:15) The way we answer this question will lead us to Life Everlasting…or to everlasting death.
The blessing comes when we surrender to Jesus and say what Peter said, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Mt 16:16) Peter did not just say words, he felt the truth of them, deep within his heart. This was his reality and it became his identity. We must do the same, my Friends. If Jesus is our Christ, our Savior and our Lord, then we will join with Him and be able to survive, and thrive, no matter what is going on a round us. Our inner life will control our outer world, and hopefully, others will see the difference and join Jesus too. Living and moving in Jesus our Christ because we are God’s children. (Ac 17:28) My Friends, there exists no greater blessing than to have the Greatest One within, so we can defeat anyone and anything in this world. Hold on to Him, and let Him use all situations for your good.
