The Gratitude

Because God is greater, what He says takes priority over what anyone else says, including what we say over ourselves too.

“You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1Jn 4:4 BSB

Hi Friends, Diane here. Only God is Truth, so only what He says is truth. When that false voice tries to convince us that we are not good enough, God gently points us to the Cross which clearly displays what He says. And He says we are more than good enough, in His eyes. We learn to lean less on what we, or anyone else thinks about us, and we trust what God declares about His children. The more we know God is greater than all of our faults and flaws and frailty, the more this should stir a deep gratitude within us. It should lift our hearts and minds towards the One Who loves us in whatever condition we happen to be. And the gratitude gives us the power to live as the over-comers we are in Christ.

The gratitude this truth stimulates within us, helps us live connected to God, more and more. When we are thankful for the Presence of God in our lives, we will seek to know Him deeper, as well as to make Him known further, and this in whatever situation we find ourselves in. Because God is greater and lives within our spirits, we can deal with whatever comes our way. We can break out of addictions. We can leave debt and poverty behind. We can be a blessing to all those God places on our paths. We can…if, out of gratitude, we choose to live our lives connected to the Greater One. If not, the one who is still in this world, will do his worst to make our lives miserable! But if God is greater than him, why does he still have any power at all to wreck the havoc he does? Leave your thoughts below and we will wrap this up tomorrow…
