The End Is the Beginning

This week ends our journey with my selection of “verses to remember,” you can see the full list in the description below, but my goodness, I hope it doesn’t mean we will not continue to add even more powerful words of God into our hearts and minds! There is no topic of life that you cannot find guidance and encouragement about in this Bible. Some have said the name, Bible, is an acronym for “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth,” and they are partly right. But God’s Word is so much more than good advice for this temporary life. Scripture teaches us Who our Loving God is. It displays the depths of His Love. It inspires us to give up our petty lives and reach up to Him for Salvation, Sanctification, and to imitate Him as Servants. The Bible is Life, my Friends, and I hope you will continue your relationship with God and His Word forevermore.

Each verse in the Bible is a gift from God to us, have you ever seen it this way? With over 31,000 verses, that’s a whole lot of gifts that too many of us never explore!Together, they grant us a beautiful picture of life; the way God designed it to be, the way we have fallen so far from that ideal, and the way God will restore it all in the End. The major gift the Bible brings into our lives, of course, is God, Himself. As we fall further in love with Jesus, we desire to be more and more like Him: humble, gracious, kind and so very, very wise. But first, we must be rid of our old, hardened, MMI person…thus, Salvation is the key to true and everlasting Life. Listen to this our final, and powerful, “verse to remember.” I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, it is from the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 36, verse 26:

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Eze 36:26 NIV
