How powerful this verse is, and how relieving too!
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” Jn 14:6 NIV
What a blessing Life is! You and I did nothing in order to be conceived. You and I did nothing in order to be born into the circumstances we are born into. And you and I have no power to enter Heaven on our own. But this is ok. Why? Because God so loved the world that He gave us His one and only Begotten Son…now we just have to choose to believe and then we will not perish, but have Everlasting Life. This means a truly fulfilling life here, but then Paradise when our time here is done. And it also means there is no pressure on our tiny shoulders to have this Life God offers. All we must do is surrender.
Life. We humans think way too small. When we think about life, we might say it would be great if I lived 80, 90 maybe even 100 years…but my Friends, we were created in the Image of God. This means we are eternal beings…now whether we die forever or live forever, is a whole other topic! You want to really have, enjoy and share this Life, and then live eternally? Then there is only One Way.
