An Act of Will

Let’s get this verse down deep so that we will complain less and less, as we will rejoice more and more.

“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps 118:24 NLT

Hi Friends, Diane here. Complaining. It is based on a lack of Faith in God. When we do not trust Him, or have only a little Faith, very often we complain about life. This can be a sign of immaturity: we want what we want, and we want it now! And when we do not get it our way, in our timing, we moan and groan. This is part of the MMI mentality, based on our old Prideful identity. It displays a lack of gratitude for all the blessings God fills our lives with because we are acting childish and stamping our feet, demanding what we think is important to us, instead of trusting that Father really does know best. This can also be a sign of mistrust. We read what the Bible says, but we just doubt what it says. Can we see when we have this sinful attitude we are calling God a liar? Yikes, my Friends! We must choose to believe God.

By Grace through Faith. (Eph 2:8) This is how we become born again and this is how we must learn to live this New Life in Christ too. It is an act of our WILL. Are we seeing this? It is a choice we make because we have confessed that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to pay our sin debt. That we believe Jesus died and took away that sin nature in us, giving us a New Identity in Him. That we now, and forevermore, are indwelled by the Holy Spirit and our destiny is Heaven. That we belong to God the Father, through God the Son, in God the Holy Spirit. God is with us, and He is FOR us. (see Ro 8:31) Because of this truth, we CAN choose to rejoice and be glad in this day…and the next…and the next…and the next…you get the idea, don’t you? Let’s wrap this challenging lesson up tomorrow.
