Divide and Conquer

Sometimes I wonder if the enemy is the only one who realizes, divided they will fall. (Mt 12:25) And so he gets us to doubt God and fills our mind with these questions for us to think about…by ourselves of course! He never even gives us the option to pray about it. “You seek your own truth because YOU are the master of your life,” he lies to us, and we pretty much believe him. Thus The Downfall in the Garden of Eden. Eve did not choose to talk to her husband about why that fruit was forbidden…and Adam, as the head of the household, never thought about asking God why the fruit was forbidden. Eve leaned on her own understanding and Adam followed her instead of following God. The destruction came because they left God out of the picture…are we doing the same thing in our day and time?

But this was, and still is, the enemy’s true intent, “If I can get humans to forget, or better yet, deny there is a God, then I get to be god. I get to manipulate their lives and get them to do what I want them to do. I get to tell them what to think, how to feel and what to desire…and I will keep them at my beck and call by changing those thoughts, feelings and desires at my will. My will, will be done…not theirs, and certainly not God’s!” And just like that, the enemy reaches closer towards that throne…ahhh, but God! We know what we believe, right? Hmmm…more tomorrow…
