Because we are NEW, we must learn to speak NEW too.
“Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Pr 18:21 BSB
Hi Friends, Diane here. When God speaks, things happen according to what He says. So I asked yesterday, “Does what we say happen too?” Again I am not talking about prosperity preaching that claims, “If you say it it will come to pass!” That’s not godly AT ALL. What I mean here is, do the words we speak effect our lives? Think sowing and reaping here. If I plant a corn seed, I should expect to harvest corn, right? So if I continue to say negative things about God, myself and others, what can I expect? A joyful life filled with peace and goodness? NOPE! I can expect to be depressed and miserable. If we speak death, then death is what we will have…
Ahh but if we are learning WHO we are in Christ, then we will begin to grasp that we were created by Life to have, enjoy and share the Abundant Life. If we begin to speak life instead of death, then our lives will be more and more filled with victory instead of defeat. We will be reflecting and experiencing all the goodness of God. We will be able to love and be loved. And we will be able to do this no matter what situation we find ourselves in. Life begets life…death brings on death. And our words are powerful containers that will release either of these into our lives, and the lives of those around us. And it start by knowing WHO you are because of Whose you are.
