It is because God has made a New Way for us to be able to live, filled each day with his New Mercies, once we surrender our lives to Jesus, we become united with Him and are no longer on our own…ever again! With this New Identity, comes a New Mind.
Today’s verse: Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
The more we understand we are New in Christ, the more we will pay attention to the thoughts that come to our minds and the more we will line up those thoughts with what God says. A quick example is how we speak to ourselves. For instance, if I dropped anything on the floor, before I used to call myself an idiot…now, I say, hey no one is perfect, and I laugh as I pick it up and move on, not belittling myself. I think about everything differently now, this is the New Mind God is creating in me.
God is still making all things new, including giving us a New Mind! Thank You, Lord!!!
