Ola amigos, Diane aqui. Este mês, eu quero falar come vocês sobre… oh… wait. I am speaking a different language, aren’t I? So if you don’t speak this same language, which is Portuguese by the way, then you have no idea what I am saying, so how can we communicate well with one another? This is actually our topic this month! Learning to “talk” to each other in a way where the other person can sense that we are showing them love, is vital for healthy relationships. And since it is February, where we celebrate Love, I want to call this series, “Love Is In The Air!” This corresponds to at least one or two of those Ripples of Life that I have mentioned before. You can check out the link below for more information on that.
We will spend the whole month discussing our next entry of our Book Club, which is the well known book titled, “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts” by Gary Chapman. Throughout his counseling ministry, Dr Chapman noticed some specific ways through which husbands and wives might be able to communicate their love towards one another. We will talk about these five different “love languages,” as he calls them, that help people receive love, and through which people can try to give love to each other. In addition, we will see how miscommunication in these areas can bring problems as a result of not speaking each other’s language. But for those of you who are not married, please don’t check out this month because these love languages are for more than just married couples…more tomorrow…
