How much clearer can God be with this amazing verse?
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” Jn 14:6 NIV
No one. When God says “no one,” He means not one single human being. I don’t care what you have. I don’t care what you have done. I don’t care where you live, what car you drive, how many digits you have your bank account…no one means NO ONE! This places every human on the same level, doesn’t it? This should be encouraging!!! Your worldly situations do not stop you from coming to the Father. Your level of education cannot stop you from coming to the Father. Your position, prestige, power in this world, or lack of them, will not stop you from coming to the Father. But I tell you what will stop you: Pride. If you still think you do not need God…or worse that the God of the Bible does not exist…then…well, I pray “no one” listening to this will ever have to know what happens. We must surrender this selfish mindset.
We were created by a Loving God who desires us to be with Him forevermore, and so He sent The Way, The Truth and The Life to show us how we can be with Him forevermore. Again, it is our choice…but if you have already made this choice, then you need to live it out so others will want to make the same choice, as they see your transformed life right before them. No one can come to the Father on their own, but no one needs to not come because the Father has given us The Way, The Truth and The Life. We will wrap it up tomorrow…
