The Life Changing Fruit

It’s all about the Fruit. That is what makes us different! As Scripture says, you and I were never meant to produce the Fruit…after all, it is called the Fruit of the Spirit, not the fruit of Diane! We are simply meant to bear it, to display it, to use it to glorify God, love others and love ourselves. In that order, my friends. When we focus on having godly marriages and families, by connecting individually, then together, with God, then the Holy Spirit is the One Who does all the heavy lifting. He produces the Fruit, and as we stay attached to Him, we simply display it. 

The foundation is that attachment which the Bible calls abiding. It simply means living with God as one in our thoughts, words and deeds. As Dr Charles Stanley recommends, we must pass each thought through the sieve of the Holy Spirit. Let Him filter out thoughts that are self-center and a waste of time. Let Him grow thoughts that are loving and giving. Let Him take the lead and we just follow…we must remember, Jesus is the Lord, not you or me. We abide, He grows the Fruit and we display it. And this is where the Holy Spirit is taking me deeper than I have ever been…
